These collage portraits were put together using gelli printed collage papers that I designed myself. They play a part in the exploration I’m embarking on into the disjointedness I feel within myself when it comes to my body and its varying disabilities/medical issues. In its full and “complete” form, I believe this project will be an installation. Like with a majority of my projects, ideas, techniques, visuals, and concepts for it come to me in pieces.

“Most of the time I don't feel like a whole body. Instead, I feel like a bunch of different pieces that were kind of snapped together like bootleg lego pieces to almost resemble a body. And it feels like I have both not enough and too many pieces. Like, more pieces than I'm supposed to have but not all of the ones I’m supposed to have.

I've been chopped and screwed so much that I only know the remix of the remix of the remix of the remix of the remix version of me. What did the raw cut original version even sound like? Look like? Feel like?”
